    Expression of Interest

We are building our associate bid writer talent pool to support a growing pipeline of large-scale, complex education programmes, primarily commissioned by the Department for Education and adjacent government bodies.

We are keen to connect with experienced bid writers who can produce high-quality, compliant and compelling responses, and who are comfortable working at pace within multi-stakeholder teams.

    Why Etio?
At Etio, we don’t just implement platforms - we drive meaningful transformation. This is an opportunity to play a central role in scaling digital learning with national and global impact.
You’ll help shape how our solutions are positioned, ensure they land with clarity and credibility, and contribute to programmes that deliver measurable, lasting change.

    What you’ll do

    • Lead the drafting of high-quality bid responses across the full bid lifecycle
    • Interpret tender documentation and translate requirements into clear, structured, compliant content
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to extract, shape and synthesise technical input
    • Develop and embed clear win themes and key messages throughout responses
    • Review and edit contributions from multiple authors to ensure a consistent “single voice”
    • Manage deadlines, version control, and submission requirements under tight timelines
    • Contribute to and maintain a library of reusable content, case studies, and evidence

    What we’re looking for

    • Proven bid writing experience (c.5+ years), ideally within UK public sector or education markets
    • Demonstrable experience of DfE or education-sector bids, including complex, multi-part submissions
    • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate solutions clearly and persuasively
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under deadline pressure
    • Experience interpreting complex specifications and translating them into structured responses
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively with SMEs, partners and bid leads
    • Comfortable working remotely within distributed, fast-paced bid teams

    Desirable experience

    • Knowledge of public sector procurement routes (e.g. frameworks, DPS, DfE procurement structures)
    • Experience contributing to or leading structured review processes (e.g. red team reviews)
    • Familiarity with social value, EDI and sustainability requirements in public sector bids
    • Ability to produce supporting visuals (e.g. process diagrams, delivery models, theory of change)
    • Experience using tools such as InDesign or PowerPoint for bid production
    • APMP certification (Foundation or Practitioner) or equivalent professional training
    • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Copilot) to support drafting and synthesis
    • Awareness of current DfE policy priorities and programme architectures
Etio is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, particularly from groups under‑represented in the workforce.
